This device comes with a 5" TFT screen with 720 x 1280 resolution and a pixel density of 288 PPI. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy J3 has a 5" Super AMOLED with 16M colors and has 720x1280 pixels.
The Galaxy On5 is equipped with an 8MP f/2.2 aperture rear camera capable of recording HD videos @ 30 fps. It also has a 5MP f/2.2 aperture front camera.
For the onboard drive, this device has an 8GB internal drive and supports up to 256 GB via microSD. While the Samsung Galaxy J3 comes in 8 and 16 GB variants and supports up to 256 GB external memory via a microSD card.
The Galaxy On5 has a rear firing speaker located beside the camera. It has a slight bump so an not to muffle the sound when laid on its back. Quality is good and can get pretty loud.
This device runs on Exynos 3475 Quad with four cores clocked at 1.3 GHz. Performance is decent but with noticeable lag during heavy use. While the Samsung Galaxy J3 has the Spreadtrum SC9830 (outside US) and the Exynos 3475 Quad (US).
Powering the device is a tiny 2600 mAh battery. It can hold conversations for up to 15 hours over 3G network and music play for 49 hours. It does not support wireless charging or quick charge.
