Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated April 26, 2026

UpPhone is a free site for readers. We pay for it primarily through affiliate commissions — when you click certain links on our site and end up buying a phone or signing up for a plan, the carrier or retailer pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you.

What that means in plain English

  • Some of the “See this deal” and “Buy now” buttons on our pages are tagged with our affiliate code.
  • If you click one and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission.
  • You pay the same price either way — the commission comes out of the carrier's marketing budget, not your pocket.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence which phones or plans we recommend. We rank by what's genuinely the best fit for the reader in front of us — cheapest, fastest, most flexible, most reliable, etc. — not by which carrier pays us most. If a non-affiliate plan is the best answer for someone, that's what we say, and we link to it directly without commission.

We don't accept payment to write reviews, and we don't let carriers preview reviews before publication.

Programs we participate in

UpPhone participates in affiliate programs run by major U.S. carriers (e.g. Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and various MVNOs) and a small number of phone retailers. The full list changes from time to time as we add and drop partners.

Questions
