Consumer Cellular's 1 GB plan runs $20/month with AutoPay and eBilling on AT&T's network.
After the 1 GB is exhausted, data slows to 128 kbps -- basically unusable for anything beyond text messages. No hotspot. Taxes and fees not included.
There's a $10 activation fee per line. On multi-line plans, data is shared across lines. AARP members get a 5% monthly discount on top of that.
This is a plan for someone who genuinely doesn't use data, wants reliable AT&T calling, and isn't interested in paying for gigabytes they'll never touch.
