International coverage in 215+ countries includes 15 GB of high-speed data per month (also 256 kbps after). The Canada/Mexico high-speed cap is the most commonly used international allotment, and 30 GB should cover most cross-border travelers.
Plan Speed
Full T-Mobile 5G and LTE speeds at highest priority -- no throttling during congestion. This is the plan's clearest performance advantage over any lower tier on T-Mobile's network. After 250 GB of hotspot, tethering continues at 600 kbps, which is faster than dial-up but too slow for HD video or large downloads. Video streaming at 4K is enabled on this plan.
Contract Details
No annual contract, though phone payment plans may create a de-facto 24- to 36-month relationship. The '5-year price guarantee' applies to talk, text, and data pricing -- T-Mobile has committed not to raise the rate for five years, though plan features can still change.
