The plan's features are essentially identical to standard Essentials -- 50 GB of priority data, 480p video cap, 600 kbps hotspot tethering -- with one addition: Scam Shield Premium is included. Scam Shield Premium is T-Mobile's call-screening and scam-blocking feature, which is available for free to all T-Mobile customers at the base tier anyway and available as an upgrade that this plan bundles. It's a real feature with some value, though not a premium one worth significant money on its own.
The $15 discount off the $60 Essentials base price is the plan's primary draw.
