That pricing hits a natural ceiling around $15/month for light use -- a GB or two of data -- before it becomes cheaper to move to a fixed plan. No contract, no activation fee. T-Mobile's network.
The appeal is narrow but real: if a phone genuinely averages under 2 GB per month and usage is variable, Flex avoids paying for unused gigabytes. The moment data use becomes regular, the $25 Ting Set 5 makes more financial sense.
