The audience is the same: international callers who live on Wi-Fi and need cellular data only occasionally. The 1 GB allotment covers a few map lookups, some messages, basic app use on cellular - nothing more. After 1 GB, speeds drop to 2G, which in practice means barely-functional data: text-only websites at best, no video, no navigation in real time.
T-Mobile's network powers both the cellular data and the calls. No hotspot. Eighty-five-plus countries for international calling remain included.
