The Fold6 brought a wider inner display and brighter panel - now available well below launch price and worth the consideration.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 was Samsung's 2024 book-fold foldable, with two meaningful improvements over the Fold5: a slightly wider inner display at 7.6 inches with a wider aspect ratio, and a jump to 2600 nit peak brightness on the inner panel. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 replaced the Gen 2, and the overall weight dropped by 14g to 239g. The camera system retained the 50 MP main, 12 MP ultrawide, and 3x telephoto arrangement. Android 15 is available via update.
As of May 2026, the Z Fold6 is available at Verizon for $546.99 - well below its original $1,799.99 launch price. At $547, the value math changes dramatically. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is only one generation behind current chips. The 2600 nit inner display is properly bright. The 4400 mAh battery and 25W charging remain unchanged from the Fold5, which is the primary hardware limitation. For a buyer attracted to the book-fold form factor, the Z Fold6 at $547 is one of the more interesting deals in the Android market right now.
