Samsung's 2025 book-fold flagship pushes to 8 inches, drops 24g, and adds a 200 MP main camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is Samsung's most ambitious foldable to date. The inner display grows to 8 inches while the overall weight drops to 215g - lighter than the Z Fold6's 239g. The camera system gains a 200 MP main sensor, up from 50 MP in the Fold6. The Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy brings the same processor that powers the S25 Ultra. Android 16 ships out of the box.
At $1,799 from Consumer Cellular, the Z Fold7 is priced at the top of the Android market alongside the S26 Ultra. What makes the pricing more defensible here than on the aging Fold5 is that this is current-generation silicon, display, and camera technology. The 4400 mAh battery and 25W charging remain the persistent limitation of the Fold lineup - Samsung has not addressed this in the Fold7. IP48 rather than IP68 means limited dust protection. But the 200 MP main camera, 8-inch inner display, Snapdragon 8 Elite, and reduced weight are all genuine headline improvements that the Fold7 earns.
