Androids keep a record of various apps’ data and activity in storage units called caches. Clearing an app’s cache will reset your Pixel’s memory of this app’s data.
Why this works:
It’s possible for caches to become corrupted or over-filled. When this happens, it can cause a lot of different problems for a smartphone. It’s possible that clearing caches on your Pixel will resolve the error it’s encountering.
Pro tip:
If you think that a certain app’s causing the problem, you can manually select specific caches to clear.
