Close Apps On Your Google Pixel

1 min read
  1. Go to Home screen of your Pixel.
  2. Swipe up from the bottom of your screen. You should now see a display of recently opened apps.
  3. Tap the app you’d like close.
  4. Swipe up.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you’ve closed every app you’d like to.
  6. Give your phone a few minutes to register that you’ve closed each of these apps.

Why this works:

If you have too many apps open on your cell phone at once, it can begin to interfere with your cell phones functionality. Every open app requires a certain amount of processing power and data to remain active. By closing out of some apps you’re not using, you might resolve the error your cell phone’s currently experiencing.

Pro tip:

If you find that this problem only occurs when you try to use a certain app, the most effective solution might be to delete that app and try downloading an alternative.
