Restart Your Android Phone

Most Android Phones

For most Android phones, follow these steps:

  1. Hold the power key until a list of options appears.
  2. Tap Restart
  3. Wait for your phone to reboot.

Other Cases

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap the power symbol in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Tap Restart.

Restarting your Android phone can help you resolve a variety of issues. Although it’s cliche to say, sometimes “turning it off and back on again” really is the best solution. It gives all the apps and programs on your phone a chance to refresh. This can clear any errors you might be encountering that are causing your problem.
