iphone x wont turn on fix

My iPhone X Won’t Turn On! Here’s The Fix.

Your iPhone X won't turn on and you're starting to get nervous. You know those work emails and texts are waiting to be answered, but you just can't get to them. In this article, I'll explain why your iPhone X isn't turning on and show you how to fix the problem!

Hard Reset Your iPhone X

First things first — try hard resetting your iPhone X. This process allows your iPhone to reboot and will hopefully reset your device back to normal.

To reset your iPhone X, follow these steps:

  1. Press and release the Volume Up button.
  2. Press and release the Volume Down button.
  3. Press and hold the Side button. Keep holding until the Apple logo appears.

Try A Different Charger

If restarting your iPhone didn't fix the problem, try using a different charger or charging cable.

Chargers are by no means indestructible. They can experience a lot of wear and tear. Try a different charging cable and see if your iPhone starts charging.

Make sure to try using multiple chargers too. If you normally charge your iPhone with a wall charger, try using your computer.

Clean Out Your iPhone's Lightning Port

The Lightning port is located at the bottom of your iPhone and it's where you plug in your charging cable. Lint and dust can get stuck in this tiny area, making it harder for your iPhone X to charge properly.

Grab an anti-static brush or a brand new toothbrush and use it to clean out the charging port. You might be surprised by how much gunk comes out! After cleaning out the Lightning port, try charging your iPhone again.

Make Sure It's Not Just The Display

Plug your iPhone into your computer and open iTunes. If your iPhone does show up in iTunes, back it up immediately! Backing up your iPhone ensures that all your data is secure, should there be a serious problem with your device. Try to hard reset your iPhone X again while it's connected to your computer.

If your iPhone connects to iTunes but the screen remains blank, or if your iPhone X won't connected to iTunes at all, there's probably a hardware problem.

Repair Options

Apple is a great place to take your iPhone in times of trouble, especially if you have AppleCare. Just make sure you set up an appointment first!

If you can't find time to visit an Apple Store, or if you don't have AppleCare, I recommend using Puls. Puls is a repair company that sends a technician straight to you! They can start fixing your iPhone in as little as an hour.
