iPhone XS Stuck On The Apple Logo? Here’s The Fix.

You're trying to restart your iPhone XS, but it's not making it past the Apple logo. It's taking a long time and you think something might be wrong. In this article, we'll explain why your iPhone XS is stuck on the Apple logo and how to fix this issue.

Why Your iPhone XS Is Stuck On The Apple Logo

This problem occurs when the iPhone is turning on and checking the software to make sure the phone is working properly. During this process, the Apple logo is shown on the screen instead of a bunch of lines of code.

If your iPhone XS is stuck on the Apple logo, it's usually a sign that some file or program isn't starting up properly. Follow the steps below to diagnose and fix the problem!

Hard Reset Your iPhone XS

You can usually fix this problem by hard resetting your iPhone XS. A hard reset forces your iPhone to abruptly turn off and back on. While this can unfreeze your iPhone, it doesn't address the software issue that made your iPhone XS get stuck on the Apple logo.

To hard reset your iPhone XS, press and release the Volume Up button, press and release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the side button. Let go of the side button when the Apple logo appears on the screen again. This can take 25–30 seconds, so keep holding the side button!

DFU Mode For Your iPhone

DFU Mode stands for Device Firmware Update. This restore erases and reloads the firmware on your iPhone XS. Firmware helps iOS communicate with the hardware of your iPhone. This is the deepest type of restore you can perform on your iPhone, and it's what every Apple tech will do to completely rule out a software problem.

Make sure to back up your iPhone XS before putting it in DFU mode. Otherwise you'll lose all the data and files saved on it.

You'll need a Lightning cable and a computer with iTunes (PCs and Macs running Mojave 10.14 or older) or Finder (Macs running Catalina 10.15 or newer).  downloaded. After connecting your iPhone XS to the computer, proceed to press and release the Volume Up button followed by the Volume Down button. Next, press and hold the side button.

When the screen turns black, press and hold the Volume Down for five seconds while continuing to hold the side button. After five seconds pass, release the side button while continuing to hold the Volume Down button until your iPhone appears in iTunes of Finder.
