Reinsert Your Android SIM Card

1 min read

Your SIM card allows your phone to connect to a wireless network.

  1. Most Android phones have a SIM card slot on the top or the side of the device. To open it, you’ll need a paperclip or the thin removal tool that came with your phone.
  2. Carefully take the SIM card out of the removed slot. It’s very tiny, so make sure not to lose it.
  3. Place the SIM card back in the ejected slot.
  4. Reinsert the slot with the SIM card back into the phone until it is secured inside.

Why this works:

Reinserting your SIM card can help fix issues where you aren’t able to connect to the network.

Pro tip:

Make sure to eject your SIM card slot over a well lit flat surface like a table or a desk so that you don’t lose the SIM card. They are very tiny and can be easily lost!
