Plan Speed
Full 5G and LTE speeds under normal conditions. During tower congestion, Cricket sits behind AT&T's postpaid subscribers in the priority queue - speeds can drop in busy commute areas or dense venues. No specific throttle speed is published. Video streaming is hard-capped at 480p (standard definition), which means 720p/1080p video quality is not available on this plan.
Contract Details
Month-to-month, no contract, no early termination fee. Activate online to avoid the $25 Cricket store activation fee. Cancel by porting the number out any time.
Overage Charges
No hard data shutoff and no overage fees on the main data plan. Hotspot slows after 15 GB. Phone data continues at reduced speeds during congestion per deprioritization terms but doesn't incur extra charges. No surprises on the bill.
Mobile Hotspot
15 GB of mobile hotspot included. After 15 GB of hotspot use, speed is reduced - Cricket doesn't publish the exact post-hotspot throttle speed. For laptop-level use - email, basic web browsing, video calls - 15 GB covers several hours of video calling or a full month of lighter laptop tasks. Heavy video streaming via hotspot will exhaust the 15 GB quickly.
