Hard Reset iPad Without Home Button

A hard reset will force your iPad to shut down and turn back on, even if its screen is frozen.

1. Press and release the volume up button.
2. Press and release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the top button on your iPad.
4. Keep holding the top button until your screen goes black. The Apple logo should appear on your iPad shortly after.
