Turn On Your iPhone 11

1 min read

Turning on your iPhone 11 is the first thing you need to do before you can call your friends, use apps, connect to Bluetooth devices, and so much more.

  1. Press and hold the side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.
  2. If the side button is broken or jammed, connect your iPhone 11 to a power source. It will turn on once it has enough battery life.
  3. Hard reset your iPhone 11 if it won’t turn on after being connected to a power source. This will force your iPhone to abruptly turn off and on again.

Why this works:

Turning on your iPhone sounds simple, but the process can be confusing if this is your first iPhone with Face ID. When Apple removed the Home button from newer iPhone models, they changed the functionality of the buttons and introduced new gestures.

Pro tip:

  • Your iPhone 11 probably has a software problem if you had to hard reset it. Check out our other article to learn what to do when your iPhone 11 won’t turn on.
